City Structure around 2000

The city of Sydney is divided into 40 Local Government Areas (LGA), which in turn are subdivided into approximately 650 suburbs. The neighbourhoods are located around the fantastic Port Jackson and extend all the way to the Blue Mountains in the west.

I prefer to sort photos by location. That's why I'm planning to gradually fill the city structure of Sydney on this page. We didn't visit all the neighbourhoods of course ( which is a pity) and so it's also exciting for me to see how long the list will be in the end.

By clicking on the individual neighbourhoods you will be taken to the corresponding page of the LGAs or suburbs. There you will find a more detailed description. Some LGAs and districts were merged or reorganised after our stays. Here you can still see the old structure.
